Hostility refers to discrimination against asexual and aromatic people. This manifests itself, for example, through rejection, anger, intolerance, prejudice, discomfort or physical or psychological violence against asexual/aromatic people or people who are perceived as asexual or aromatic.
As internalized hostility is called hostility that is directed against one's own A_sexuality or A_romanticism and thus against oneself. This often happens in a hostile environment and/or before one's own internal coming out. Also the queer scene is partly a hostile place. Hostility is sometimes also called allonormativity. | |
